The 33rd annual Concerts in the Park lineup was announced by the Sacramento Downtown Partnership Friday. The organization is introducing Latin and Juneteenth nights this year.
The 2026 lineup includes a mix of artists spanning different genres including Australian indie rock-band Temper Trap, who will headline the final night, hip-hop artist Kid Ink, who will headline Juneteenth night, and Sacramento’s own Arden Park Roots.
Like last year, it will be held every Friday for nine weeks instead of the usual 12, at Cesar Chavez Park and will end on June 26.
“We have an EDM night, for example, we have alt-rock, we have reggae, we have hip hop, all of it,” said Amelia Chew, Events Manager of Downtown Sacramento Partnership. “Once again, trying to reflect the diversity that comes through the city and we try to capture as many people as we can throughout the season by having different genres every week.”
Chew said CIP has become a summer tradition and they encourage people to attend and create memories.
“I also think this event really reflects the community that surrounds us,” she said. “It not only captures the local diversity, but it also encourages people to expand their minds and introducing them to the national touring artists kind of encourages that.”
Rosemother is a dream pop six-person live band from Sacramento who will perform at CIP on May 22. Lead singer Haley Rae said they’re appreciative to be a part of the lineup this year.
“We're just super honored, because it's definitely a Sac staple,” Rae said. “I've been applying for a few years, and this is the first year we've got on, so definitely overjoyed.”
Rosemother will have a 45-minute set and will perform before the headliner of the day: In Color. Rae said the band plans to play new music.
“We're kind of adjusting our lineup a little bit and making some changes style wise,” she said. “We've been playing with some, like, jazz vibes and more shoegaze stuff…. So we definitely want to get new songs in there, if we can.”
CIP is partnering with WorldsWorst again for a mini thrift swap meet, according to Chew.
“We are also going to be partnering with XFINITY, to do a recharge lounge and like mini golf from one of our partners that are doing our after party locations,” Chew said. “We'll also have live art as well, where the community can participate in creating an art mural.”
