Original story published March 3, 2026:
Sacramento County is asking for help identifying a Jane Doe. County officials said the woman was admitted to Sutter Medical Center a few days before her death and said she couldn't give her name. Coroner officials say she had a specific medical condition that would be familiar to family and friends and said she's allergic to blueberries. The woman died on Jan. 25.
The woman said she was 39 years old. She's about 5'6" and weighs 149 pounds. She wore glasses and had numerous tattoos, including a sailor's wheel on her left torso, located below and to the left of her left breast, "smile now, cry later" theatre masks on her right shoulder/back area, and a very distinctive tattoo near her right eye that resembles a sun (or star) with a moon beneath it.
