Deputy Shot At Light Rail Station In June Heads Home From Hospital

The Sacramento Sheriff's deputy shot in the face at a Sacramento Regional Transit light rail station last month is now home from the hospital.
Deputy Alex Ladwig was released Wednesday after undergoing several surgeries over the last two weeks.
The Sheriff's Department says he still requires additional operations.
Ludwig was shot with his own gun on June 27, after being attacked by a person he had approached on the platform of RT's Watt Avenue station.
He was working fare enforcement and was checking to see if the man had a ticket.
The suspect has been arraigned on an attempted murder charge.
