Gov. Brown Announces Plans To Host International Climate Summit

California Governor Jerry Brown is again pledging an end-run around the Trump administration on climate change.

In a brief video shown at the Global Citizen music festival in Hamburg, Germany, Brown said he’ll host an international summit for regional governments and business leaders to support the Paris climate agreement. Hamburg is currently hosting G20 Summit.

The governor’s office has offered few details on the summit other than that it will be held in San Francisco in September 2018, before the 2018 United Nations Climate Summit, and three months before Brown’s term ends.
