New Parking Restrictions Go Into Effect In Downtown Sacramento

Many Sacramento streets that had free parking after 6 p.m. won't have free parking available until 8 or 10 at night starting Thursday.

The City also launched a new website to help residents navigate the changes. Drivers can use the site to reserve a spot ahead of time at any city garages or at a certified partner parking facility. You can also view a map of all the different parking zones.

Reservations will first be available for customers attending events after 5 p.m. on weekdays and all day weekends.
