Plans for remodeling a couple of historic schools in midtown Sacramento could have a big impact on the neighborhoods around them.
The properties are in prime locations. One of them is the former Jefferson School at 16th and N streets. The other is the former Marshall School on G and 27th.
City Unified School District officials seem interested in turning them over to local developers who might convert them into a mix of retail, office and housing. But the Sacramento Business Journal's Managing Editor for Digital News Christopher Arns says it's not a done deal.
Christopher also has details on the future of Sports Authority in Sacramento and new stores coming to Folsom's Palladio at Broadstone.
