The Sacramento Police Department is searching for the owners of more than 60 stolen bicycles recovered last week.
Police officers found the bikes in a storage facility in North Sacramento. One suspect has been arrested and the investigation is ongoing.
Officer Traci Trapini says the bicycles are now being processed by the department
"Our investigators are going through each bicycle, they’re checking serial numbers of the bikes and if that bike has been reported stolen, so we’ll start reaching out to those reporting parties first," she says.
Those who want to check if their stolen bike has been recovered is encouraged to file a police report and contact the department’s bike unit at (916) 808-6705 or by email at [email protected].
