New Fentanyl-Related Death In Sacramento Region


There has been another death related to fentanyl poisonings in the Sacramento region.

Sacramento County reports that there have been 11 deaths related to the overdoses: 10 in Sacramento County and one in Yolo County.

The number of overdose cases has risen to 51.

The Sacramento County Coroner says two toxicology results are still pending.

The County's public health department advises people to decline from taking prescription-type pills that are not prescribed by and obtained from their own physician and/or pharmacy. 

The Drug Enforcement Agency and the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department are investigating.
