Drier, Warm Weather Returns, Sacramento Spring-Summer Watering Rules Kick In

The storm that's been bringing strong winds, heavy rain and snow to much of Northern California over the past four days is weakening.

The rain that's inundated rivers and and led to some evacuations is expected to taper off Monday, with warm, dry weather predicted for the rest of the week.

Chain controls are not in effect over Donner Summit, but authorities are urging motorists to be cautious.

Meanwhile, the City of Sacramento wants to remind people that Spring-Summer landscape watering rules has begun. Residents who live within city limits, can only water two days a week.

Addresses ending with an odd number can water on Tuesday and Saturday. Addresses ending with an even number can water on Wednesday and Sunday.
