The California Attorney General's Office has charged a Caltrans employee with taking bribes in exchange for awarding construction contracts.
An indictment filed in Placer County Superior Court alleges Alex Moraless III asked for and received $100,000 in bribes and a new pickup in a five-year period.
Morales was the contract coordinator for Americans With Disability Act projects.
The charges include a special allegation of a white-collar crime enhancement because the value of the bribes is more than $100,000.
A warrant for his arrest was signed by a judge Tuesday. Bail for Morales was set at $50,000.
