Valley Fire Update: Another Body Found In Lake County

1:07 p.m. - The California Office Of Emergency Services released this fly over footage of the burn area from the Valley Fire.

 

10:55 a.m.Another body has been found in a burned-out home in Lake County.

The Lake County Sheriff's Department says the body was found Tuesday night in the rubble of the Valley Fire.  

The body was found in the Cobb area and officials believe it is 66-year-old Robert Taylor Fletcher, whose home was destroyed. He was last seen September 16.

Officials say Robert Litchman, 61, of Lake County was still missing as of Wednesday.

Four people have been killed in the Valley Fire.

Two people died in the Butte Fire in Amador and Calaveras counties.

Meanwhile, Cal Fire is making a final push to contain the Valley and Butte fires.

The Valley Fire in Lake County is almost 80 percent contained at 76,067 acres. President Obama has freed up federal disaster money for the fire that took four lives and destroyed at least 1,900 structures.

The Butte Fire in the Sierra foothills is 84 percent contained at 70,868 acres. It took two lives and destroyed more than 800 structures.

In Monterey, the Tassajara Fire is 75 percent contained at almost 1,100 acres after destroying 20 structures.
