Cal Fire: Fire Burning North Of Vacaville Now At 150 Acres

UPDATE July 7, 6:21 a.m. - The Sky Fire burning northwest of Vacaville has burned 150 acres and is now 60 percent contained.

The Sky Fire broke out in the area of Mix Canyon Road and Sky Ranch Road about 11 a.m. Monday. 

Evacuations in the area are voluntary.

Firefighters are battling a vegetation fire that has burned about 50 acres near Vacaville. 

The fire broke out shortly before 11 a.m. at Mix Canyon Road and Sky Ranch Road.

Multiple news agencies are reporting that the blaze may have been caused by a car fire.

As of 2:03 p.m., Cal Fire tweeted that evacuations are in place for the area.
