The City of Folsom and Sacramento County announced a settlement Wednesday over plans to expand Mather Airport.
In a news release, the city said a formal settlement will be signed "in coming weeks."
At issue is the expansion of cargo flights into Mather Airport and the potential noise that could bring to Folsom.
The city said under the terms of the settlement, Folsom, with the County’s help, will explore alternative flight paths into Mather Airport that could reduce noise impacts in the city.
Sacramento County has agreed not to sue the city of Folsom over other Mather-related issues, including a planned development south of Highway 50.
