California Women Can Soon Skip The Doctor To Get Their Birth Control

In California, a new state law will allow pharmacists to prescribe birth control pills, order lab tests and a carry out a few other duties once reserved for doctors. The move, in part, was to address the concern that there will be an increasing shortage of primary care physicians in the state.
