ACLU Cites Lack of Public Input on Surveillance Technology

Ever since 9/11, local law enforcement agencies have relied on surveillance technology — like video cameras and license plate readers — in order to protect public safety. In a report out Wednesday, the ACLU of California describes what it sees as a lack of transparency and oversight in how these technologies are used.
