Crews Working To Repair Punctured Gas Pipe In North Oak Park

UPDATE: According to News10, work is ongoing on 3rd Avenue between 34th and Broadway after construction crews punctured a gas line early Friday.

PG&E crews turned off the gas and stopped the leak, but repairs will continute for at least three hours, according to News10.

9 A.M. -- A gas leak in the North Oak Park neighborhood prompted evacuations and street closures early Friday. 

The gas leak was reported at 3rd Avenue and Broadway. 

Authorities said construction crews punctured a two-inch gas line while working.

Approximately 20 people were evacuated.
