One accident involved a school bus, but no children were injured. Schools let out early to get kids home before roads and sidewalks would become slicker at sunset.
All morning at an Ace Hardware store owned by Tim Carter, people were busy buying shovels and ice melt.
“If you had asked me yesterday I would have said we have a two year supply of shovels but we are almost out,” said Carter.
There is no more snow in the forecast, but Tuesday night temperatures will drop into the teens and Wednesday night-Thursday morning the mercury will be near zero.
