The National Weather Service has issued a hard freeze watch for the central and southern San Joaquin Valley, as well as the Sacramento Valley, starting late Wednesday and continuing through Saturday.

Temperatures are expected to fall into the high 20s and low 30s.

Citrus growers are monitoring the weather to determine whether they should begin defensive procedures against the cold.
