Susan Damberger joined Capital Public Radio in 2001. She considers “being part of the Capital Public Radio team is a privilege, an adventure, and a great reason to go to work every day.”
Prior to moving to Sacramento, Susan worked at commercial radio stations in Los Angeles. Additionally, Susan has multi-faceted experience in numerous industries such as: air transportation (Air New Zealand), apparel (Nordstrom), engineering/architectural, entertainment (William Morris Agency), fashion (Christian Dior), food (Nestlé), home décor, insurance, jewelry, law, paper importing, temporary help sales (Volt); and toy manufacturing (Wham-O).
She now has both commercial and public radio experience, adding to her depth of knowledge in the broadcast industry.
Damberger volunteers time at public events, and helping others in the community. On a personal level she enjoys spending time with her husband Tom and twin daughters Katie & Barbara. Her favorite moments are swimming her yellow lab Sandi, teaching beading workshops, knitting, listening to music, painting (anything that doesn’t walk), reading, walking, and spiritual connection.
