Ms. Cox has over twenty years of sales and marketing experience. Jennifer is energized by working with creative people and has a passion for helping her clients grow their business by expanding their connections within the community.
Prior to joining Capital Public Radio in 2016, Jennifer managed multi-media campaigns and events for clients in print and on air. Originally drawn to the world of solution selling while working in the marketing department of an information technology company, she realized that her natural curiosity about people made it easy for her to establish relationships – and that she could make a whole career out of talking and listening. As soon as she completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from University of Phoenix, she promoted to the company’s sales department, and since that time, her career has allowed her to sell many different products to a variety of industries.
Ms. Cox prioritizes giving back to the community and believes in the lifelong pursuit of education. Jennifer assists on the marketing committee for the Keaton Raphael Memorial, a nonprofit that elevates the awareness of families with children who are fighting cancer, and serves as a Membership Co-Chair for the Alliance for Women in Media. She recently augmented her credentials by sitting for - and passing - the only globally recognized professional certification created specifically for digital media sales, the Interactive Advertising Bureau’s Digital Media Sales certification.
Jennifer grew up in Sacramento and resides in the Tahoe Park neighborhood with her family. She enjoys life amongst a large tribe of talented friends and family and most of her free time is spent supporting the arts, scrutinizing Sacramento’s coffee options, local travel to wine taste, sampling Sacramento’s thriving food and craft brew scene, reading…and trying to catch up on sleep.
