Anthony began his career working for various commercial radio stations in Sacramento, learning the ins and outs of radio production before finally settling in at Capital Public Radio.
He has lived in the Sacramento area for his whole life, where he discovered music as a hobby in 7th grade when he joined the Sam Brannan middle school symphonic band as a trombonist and drummer. By the time he got to high school, Anthony had become the quintessential band geek. Playing in marching bands after school, and waking up at 4:30 a.m. to practice with a jazz band before school where he picked up the bass.
Since then, Anthony has developed an interest in guitar, ukulele, and various other instruments along with other non-musical interests such as, running, podcasting, Hulu, video/audio editing, amateur beer-snobbing, and the occasional video game. He is also an enthusiastic supporter of the Sacramento Kings, even when they’re not winning.
