(AP) At the Sochi Winter Games in February, Daivd Wise became the first person from Reno to win a gold medal when he claimed the top prize in the halfpipe, freestyle skiing competition.
The 23-year-old graduate of Wooster High School will be honored at the David Wise Parade of Champions on Saturday, April 26. It will begin downtown at the Reno arch at 5 p.m. and end roughly a half-hour later at Aces Ballpark.
Reno officials say other Olympic medal winners from the area may join in the parade.
Wise will also sign autographs prior to Reno Aces baseball game that starts at 6:35 p.m.
