Bert Johnson / Capital Public Radio

Stories on Stage Sacramento launches its 10th season of literary community building this week. This month, the program features Sacramento State English Professor Shelley Blanton-Stroud. One of her stories appears in the new anthology This Side of the Divide: Stories of the American West, to be released next month by Baobab Press. She joins Insight with a reading of another story, “Attention Must Be Paid.”

Stories on Stage Sacramento will also feature headlining author Tom Barbash with an excerpt of his bestselling new novel “The Dakota Winters.”

You can see Stories on Stage Sacramento on Friday Jan. 25 at the CLARA Auditorium in midtown Sacramento starting at 7:00 p.m.

Correction: A previous version of this post incorrectly stated Shelley Blanton-Stroud's involvement in This Side of the Divide. One of her stories appears in the anthology.
