The Sacramento region will host two of the biggest names in American politics Monday. Vice President Mike Pence and last year's Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton are coming to town.
Pence and House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy of Bakersfield will tout the Republican push for tax reform then hold a private fundraiser.
Meanwhile, Clinton will speak at UC Davis Monday as part of her book tour.
Air Force Two will land at Mather Field shortly after 5 p.m., carrying the vice president, Second Lady Karen Pence, and Congressman McCarthy. It's part of a California fundraising swing that began Sunday evening in Southern California and also includes a stop in Bakersfield.
Before the Sacramento fundraiser tonight, the vice president's office says he'll meet with local businesses, community leaders and families to discuss the need for tax reform.
