 | | Super Tuesday And Coronavirus Updates | It’s “Super Tuesday” in California, which at CapRadio is like the Super Bowl: The stakes are high, everyone brings their election day A-game — and there’s too much pizza.
I’ll spare you the sports metaphors and, instead, share with you some of our major election projects, such as CapRadio’s new voter guide for the latest election night results and PolitiFact California’s election misinformation project.
This year, we’re also giving audiences the power to define what election issues matter. You can tell us the questions we should ask candidates — and then we’ll actually go and ask them! Look for more of these “people-powered” election stories later this year.
The big vote is of course a huge newsroom priority. But at the same time, we’re also focused on keeping the community informed about the coronavirus.
CapRadio was swift to deliver breaking news when the first U.S. coronavirus patient of unknown origin was being treated at UC Davis Medical Center. And in the six days since, we’ve delivered nearly two dozen stories, Insight With Beth Ruyak conversations and other helpful FAQs to assist our community in understanding the virus.
We’re committed to covering both these stories this year — and your support makes it possible.
Thanks again,
Nick Miller Managing Editor of News [email protected] @NickMiller510 |

Gov. Gavin Newsom dedicated his second State of the State address almost entirely to California's deepening homelessness crisis. But, Newsom also said the crisis "has persisted for decades" and made a claim that suggests it was worse 15 years ago. CapRadio's Chis Nichols' investigation finds that to be half-true. | |
| Last Week Gov. Newsom Made 286 Sites Available For Homelessness Solutions. Here's Where They Are.
In his State of the State speech, Gov. Gavin Newsom discussed an executive order that opened up properties across California to be used as sites for temporary housing for the homeless.
