 | | 2nd Annual Roseville Jazz Fest Recap | As part of our ongoing efforts to support music in our community, CapRadio was a major sponsor of the 2nd Annual Roseville Jazz Fest. By all accounts, the sophomore edition was a smashing success.
CapRadio’s Gary Vercelli and Paul Conley (pictured) served as on-stage hosts inside the beautiful Roseville Theatre during both days of the festival over Memorial Day weekend, introducing world-class performers such as The Four Freshman, Tamir Hendelman, Lewis Nash, Sarah D’Angelo, Paul Keller, The Sacramento Jazz Legends, Rebecca Hardiman and the Stan Kenton Legacy Orchestra led by Mike Vax.
According to festival founder and artistic director Jim Martinez, musicians came from as far away as New York and Florida to perform. The Travis-based Commanders Jazz Ensemble from the United States Air Force Band of the Golden West gave a stellar and moving performance to open the weekend’s festivities. It was great to see so many CapRadio listeners out at the festival. Many more enjoyed our live broadcast on Sunday night featuring the Stan Kenton Legacy Orchestra.
Make plans to join us next year on May 23-24, 2020. |
