Dear Name,
My commitment to CapRadio started long before I joined the team. When I first moved to Sacramento, I became a member of CapRadio because I wanted to support quality journalism.
When I heard about CapRadio’s financial situation, I was heartbroken to see an essential part of the community at risk. As a journalist and former News Director at ABC10, I wanted to help, but I wasn't sure what I could do beyond being a donor … until I saw the opening for the managing editor role.
I was thrilled to be offered the role. And since joining in January, I am motivated every day to make a positive impact at CapRadio and in our community. One of the things that I admire most about the team here is their resiliency. Throughout everything the staff have endured, their commitment to public service has not waivered.
Today, we’re doing more news, we’re putting out more content — and that’s something to be excited about. I believe in CapRadio because every day I see the decisions we as a community are forced to make and the importance of being empowered with information. I also see how invested in the community all of my colleagues at CapRadio are.
Our commitment to public service journalism depends on the commitment of Evergreen donors like you. Increasing your monthly gift now secures community-focused reporting and stories now and in the future.
