Some of CapRadio’s recent initiatives over the past year include:

The North Sacramento series. CapRadio journalists dedicated nearly a year engaging with residents in the district historically neglected by elected officials and facing inequities in city-provided resources. We delivered over 40 stories that covered residents’ concerns, frustrations and community-led solutions they are working toward for the future.

Women in Music. CapRadio’s month-long programming initiative treated listeners to influential and trendsetting female artists in classical music and jazz, offering a unique opportunity to discover new voices that you might not hear elsewhere. CapRadio also featured four local musicians who are making an impact in their communities.

SacramenKnow newsletter. CapRadio solicited feedback directly from communities in Sacramento to develop and launch the SacramenKnow newsletter. This newsletter provides a more personal and digestible way to stay informed, involved and entertained in the region.
