The public radio system is navigating one of the most challenging periods of time for fundraising in the 20+ years that I’ve been at CapRadio. Beyond NPR’s recent layoffs, many other member stations are having a difficult year as well. It’s been hard for some listeners to give, and as my peer in the system stated: “Flat membership giving is the new up.”
