About the Author

Abigail Dillen is the President of Earthjustice, a not-for-profit public interest and environmental law organization based in San Francisco, CA. 

Through litigation, Dillen has held polluters accountable and cleared the way for clean energy nationally. Many precedent-setting cases have used the power of law and the strength of partnership to protect people’s health, preserve magnificent places and wildlife, advance clean energy and combat climate change.

Abigail received her B.A. from Yale University and her law degree from the University of California, Berkeley, where she graduated Order of the Coif.
