The plume of smoke rising from the King Fire in the El Dorado National Forest is settling into the foothills and the Sacramento Valley as winds shift directions. And that's caused air management districts in El Dorado and Placer counties to issue warnings about potential respiratory dangers. Joining Insight to talk about dangers associated with wildfire smoke is Dave Johnston, an air pollution control officer for the El Dorado County Air Quality Management District, and Thomas Cahill, professor emeritus of physics and atmospheric sciences at UC Davis.
