Stephon Clark family settles remaining lawsuit with city of Sacramento

Sacramento has agreed to pay $1.7 million to Clark’s parents. In 2019, a city settlement provided $2.4 million to Clark’s two children.

On Sunday, March 18, 2018, Stephon Clark was shot and killed by two Sacramento police officers. On Wednesday, March 21, 2018, Sacramento Police released body camera and helicopter video of the shooting. Following that, protesters filled the streets of Sacramento, demanding charges against the two officers and changes to police procedures.
