Richey is accused of attacking the 85-year-old victim at an AM/PM at Watt Avenue and Auburn Boulevard on December 12th. Richey was apparently upset the victim had parked his vehicle so close to his car to pump gas. The victim declined medical aid at the scene, but later died that night at his home. ORIGINAL: Sacramento sheriff's investigators are trying to track down a suspect in the death of an elderly man who was assaulted at a gas station last week.

Sergeant Tony Turnbull is with the Sacramento Sheriff's Department. He says the 85-year-old man was pumping gas at the AM/PM on Watt Avenue and Auburn Boulevard on Dec. 12 when the suspect approached.

The suspect had some issue with the fact that he had parked his car so close to his and then slapped the victim in the face. The victim then attempted to defend himself and then was struck several other times in the face causing some traumatic injury.

Turnbull says the victim declined medical attention since he was on his way to the doctor. But he later suffered a medical emergency at home and died that night. The coroner is still trying to determine a cause of death. Detectives want to talk to the suspect.
