There’s someone new at the Sacramento Zoo, and it’s not a lemur baby or a lion cub. It’s Dr. Kyle Burks, the zoo’s new director and CEO. Burks is filling the position left vacant by Mary Healy, the zoo’s director of 15 years who died unexpectedly while on a trip to the Galapagos Islands last August. Burks was formerly chief operating officer of the Denver Zoo and began his new position with the Sacramento Zoo June 15. LINKS: The Official Sacramento Zoo Blog
