Sacramento proclaims the region as “America’s Farm To Fork Capital,” a nod to the valley’s admittedly generous, $17 billion agricultural bounty of more than 250 diverse crops. But the fruits, vegetables and farm-to-table values fueling this culinary ethos are not equally attainable for every resident.

To explore people's perceptions around our food system, CapRadio and Valley Vision polled residents to find out if their needs are being met and how the pandemic affected access to food. The public opinion poll is administered by Sacramento State’s Institute for Social Research.
