(AP) - Officials at Yosemite National Park say they're changing names of several historic park buildings and facilities.
Park spokesman Scott Gediman said Thursday that the famed Ahwahnee hotel will become the Majestic Yosemite Hotel, among the five name changes. It comes amid an ongoing dispute with Delaware North, the company that lost a bid to run Yosemite's hotels, restaurants and outdoor activities.
Delaware North demands to be paid $51 million for the names. Curry Village and Badger Pass Ski Area will also be renamed. Yosemite awarded a new 15-year contract to Aramark last year, valued at $2 billion.
Gediman says the park is making the changes to ensure a smooth transition to the new concessionaire on March 1.
Delaware North says that when it first won the contract in 1993, the park service required the company to buy the former concessionaire's assets.
Delaware North spokeswoman Lisa Cesaro was not immediately available for comment.
