NOEL KING, HOST:
Good morning. I'm Noel King. Lucas Hamrick lost his tooth playing in the waves at the beach this summer, so he and his mom wrote a letter to the tooth fairy, put it in a bottle and tossed it in the ocean. They were very surprised when the tooth fairy wrote back. Her letter to Lucas says, good news - mermaids found your tooth and gave it to me. And according to the letter's postmark, the tooth fairy lives in Dayton, Ohio. It's MORNING EDITION. Transcript provided by NPR, Copyright NPR.
