The death of Stephon Clark has had reverberations far beyond Sacramento, spurring media attention and organized events across the country.

Sacramento police shot and killed the 22-year-old unarmed black man on March 18, when he was pursued by officers after reports of an individual breaking car windows in a South Sacramento neighborhood.

Body camera and helicopter video footage released by police indicates that officers believed Clark had a gun, but he was found only with a cell phone.

Since the shooting, protesters have filled the streets of Sacramento, demanding police accountability and change.

Groups and individuals are now following suit in cities throughout the country, from Portland, Oregon, to Bay Harbor, Maine.

Here are some of the events planned for this week:

Tuesday, March 27

Watertown, Massachusetts: Vigil to Remember Stephon Clark, 5:30 p.m.

Wednesday, March 28

New York City: Justice for Stephon Clark, 7 p.m.

Thursday, March 29

Charlotte, North Carolina: Rally and Speak Out for Stephon Clark, 7:20 p.m.

Friday, March 30

Dallas, Texas: Solidarity March To End Police Brutality #StephonClark #Enough, 7 p.m.
