If you live in Yolo County, there's no longer a need to go to the library to pick up a book. Under a new program, the library will mail it to you.
Scott Love, the Library Services Manager, says the purpose of the service is to make the library more accessible, especially for people who have a disability and lack of reliable transportation.
"And considering the number of residents in Yolo County that live in rural areas, there's quite a few people that have a difficult time making it into one of our branches," says Love.
Love says about half a dozen packages will be sent out this week.
Residents have a month to return the media.
The service is free and will be funded for a year by a grant from the federal Museum and Library Services Act.
