Chris Granger is the team's President and Chief Operating Officer.

"The logo rollout is not just here at Golden 1 Center today. It will be throughout the community. So those in attendance today received a few T-shirts and hats. All the babies born today and for the next several weeks at Kaiser Hospitals will be getting Kings logo gear," Granger said at the event.

Members of the team gave away 5,000 shirts, basketballs and stickers to Sacramento school children.

As part of the unveiling, the Embassy Suites Hotel on Capitol Mall over I-5 will be lit in purple.

In addition the Kings are paying for local tattoo shops to ink fans for a limited time, on a first come first serve basis. Participating shops include: Royal Peacock in Sacramento, Honeymoon Tattoo off Fair Oaks Blvd, California Tattoo in Citrus Heights, Quarter Horse Tattoo in Stockton, and Crimson Needles in Penryn.

The team also unveiled four additional logos that will be used during marketing campaigns and goodwill tours.
