Thousands lined up halfway around the outside of Raley Field to get in. Once inside, they lined up to have their picture taken with the trophy.
Diane Yates from Folsom was among the first in line. She was excited to see the trophy for the first time.
"I became a Giants fan in 1954 when Willie Mays made a fantastic catch at the Polo Grounds in New York," says Yates.
Fans also had an opportunity to tour improvements under construction at Raley Field.
The Sacramento River Cats recently became the Giants' AAA affiliate. According to River Cats President Jeff Savage, the change has been good for business.
"We are definitely ahead of last year on our season ticket products and fulls and minis and partial plans. We have a "Giant Pack" that's a 13-game package that people are eager to get their hands on," says Savage.
The Giants won the World Series in October. It was the team's third title in five years.
