If you're in the city of Sacramento and see any street flooding or downed tree limbs during the storm city officials say call their 311 line for city services. Rhea Serran with the city's Utilities Department says they'll be opening an operations center.

"Starting on Wednesday and doing 12 hour shifts to respond to any clogged storm drains and any localized flooding," says Serran.

Forecasts of up to three inches of rain in the Sacramento Valley have prompted Caltrans to send work crews out now checking for clogged storm drains and filling any pot holes. Steve Nelson with Caltrans says if you come across any flooded roads...

"Turn around, don't try and drive through it," says Nelson. "You want to obviously want to slow down your speed. Just be very attentive."

Nelson also says driving in the Sierra will be especially dangerous with wind gusts of up to 100 miles an hour at times.
