Diesel Fuel Spill Closes NB I-5 In Elk Grove

Traffic is being diverted onto surface streets while hazardous materials crews cleanup the fuel that spilled. Cal-Trans says the cleanup could take a couple of hours.

Meanwhile, the other major route out of Elk Grove and into Downtown Sacramento, northbound Highway 99, is heavy because of an accident blocking the connector ramp to westbound Highway 50.
