Drewski's, Krush Burgers, Bacon Mania and four other trucks will be serving lunch to homeless people at Loaves and Fishes, the charity just north of Downtown Sacramento.
Paul Somerhausen is with Sacto Mo-Fo, which represents the mobile food truck industry in town. He says it's their way of giving back.
"The community has been so welcoming to the food truck industry and we felt compelled that we return the generosity that the community has shown to us in the form to those who are a little less fortunate."
Somerhausen says the trucks will be donating about $7,000 in food alone.
"They're giving away a day of business, a day of labor and the product because it's been a really busy year, it's been a very positive year and we want to make sure that we show the appreciation to the community that they've shown to us."
The food trucks will encircle the Loaves and Fishes parking lot to create a street fair atmosphere.
About 700 homeless people will be eating food such as chicken tacos, hamburgers and barbecue pork sliders.
