Bay Bridge Span Opening Delayed, But Leno Expects No More Surprises

(AP) The San Francisco Democrat made the comment after a nearly two-hour private briefing yesterday. 

The Toll Bridge Program Oversight Committee says it will take contractors until at least December to repair cracks in the bridge's seismic safety bolts.

The panel said a new opening date for the six-and-a-half-Billion dollar crossing will be decided after the retrofit of the failed bolts is completed, which is estimated to take until at least December 10th.
