Insight: Primary Care Physician Shortage

Plus, the state has one of the lowest reimbursement rates in the country for Medi-Cal and an unusually high number doctors nearing retirement age.  David Westphal is the editor-in-chief of the Center for Health Reporting and has recently written an article outlining the major problems California will need to fix if it is going to overcome a growing doctor shortage.
