The half-size replica of Washington D.C.'s Vietnam Memorial Wall is sometimes called the Wall That Heals.
The Vietnam Moving Wall will be on display and open to the public 24 hours a day from June 29 through July 3 at Weber Point in downtown Stockton.
For 20 years, the Moving Wall has traveled to over 400 cities, carrying the names of over 58,000 killed in the Vietnam War.
More than 5,500 came from California, 52 just from Stockton.
Marine veteran Tino Adame says the wall keeps alive the memory of those heroes.
“Reflection of what we need to continue remembering and not forgetting those that made the ultimate sacrifice and those that are still dying and suffering because of the conflict,” says Adame.
Adame also says Agent Orange, PTSD, and combat injuries continue to claim casualties long after the war.
