House Speaker Paul Ryan may not be ready to endorse presumptive GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump, but House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Bakersfield) appears to be on board.
The California Secretary of State's office released the names of delegates submitted by the Trump campaign Monday evening and McCarthy is on that list
That's significant because Ryan has said he is not yet able to endorse Trump, though the two are set to meet with Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus later this week.
In California, unlike many other states, delegates to the Republican National Convention are submitted by candidates. Ted Cruz's campaign submitted a full list of delegates as well, even though the Texas senator suspended his presidential campaign last week.
Other noteworthy Trump delegates include California state Senate Minority Leader Jean Fuller (R-Bakersfield), who declined to say if she was endorsing Trump when asked last week in an interview with Capital Public Radio
; former Sacrament-area congressman Doug Ose; and state GOP vice-chair Harmeet Dhillon.
RNC delegates from California will be allocated based on the results of the state's June 7th presidential primary. The candidate who wins each congressional district will be awarded three delegates, and the winner of the statewide vote will earn an additional 10.
