Northern California’s Rita Hosking is releasing her sixth studio album, "Frankis and the No-Go Road." Her first "concept album," "Frankie and the No-Go Road" follows the 12 steps of the hero’s journey and is inspired by the works of Joseph Conrad and the late Dr. Jack Forbes, a former Native American Studies professor at UC Davis. The record is being released Tuesday, and Hoskings will be performing three special Sacramento-area release concerts: Oct. 17 at the Palms Playhouse in Winters, Oct. 23 at the Nevada Theatre in Nevada City, and Nov. 7 at Sutter Creek Theatre in Sutter Creek.
