The Sacramento County Sheriff's office said that the suspects in the shooting deaths of two deputies were booked at the Sacramento County Main Jail early Saturday morning.

Sgt. Lisa Bowman with the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department said Marcelo Marquez, 34, of West Valley, Utah, was booked for felony murder, felony carjacking and felony attempted murder. She said Janelle Marquez Monroy, 38, of West Valley, Utah, was booked for felony carjacking and felony attempted murder.

Jail booking mug shots of the suspects have not been released, pending completition of the preliminary investigation.

Bowman said in a statement:

"Sacramento County Sheriff Homicide Detectives have conferred with the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office and are not authorizing the public release of either suspect booking photo due to the need of immediate follow up investigation.  This could be in the form of photo or live line-up identification to what is obvious of numerous confirmed and potential witnesses in this multi-agency investigation."

Sgt. Bowman said Marquez and Monroy are scheduled to be arraigned at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 28, in Court 62.
